I came to AWCRC as a PhD student, researching the behaviour of crop-foraging baboons using GPS trackers. AWCRC provided a great base for me to conduct my research, as well as much of the logistical support and contacts that were vital for me to conduct my research. One of the things I like most about AWCRC is that they give students the opportunity to engage in meaningful, outcome-driven research and conservation work. This help was invaluable for me in conducting my own research, and I hope I was also able to give back to the students in some way through supporting them in the development of their own skills, projects, and personal development. I will be back in June to complete my research, and am looking forward to seeing old and new faces!
